retaking a classes increase the number of units?

<p>I am retaking a 4- unit uppertive c.s course this winter. What i do know is that if i retake this course, the final grade after the winter will replace the previous grade for that course.
What i do not know is if is 4 units, or 8 units after winter for the course? </p>

<p>So, if i want to retake a 4 unit linear algebra course. After i retake the course. Would the total units for the course be 4 units or 8 units?</p>

<p>I think the lower grade is erased from your GPA calculation, so 4 units and the higher grade would be the only one that’s factored into your GPA. It’ll still show up that you retook it though.</p>
