Ok, so I originally signed up to take the subject tests in Biology and Math II. I'm in Calculus this year, and I when I flipped through my review book of Math II, I realized that there was a lot of information that I had forgotten. I also felt that cramming wouldn't do me any good. I had talked to my friend earlier that day and he had said he felt the same exact way when he went to take it, so instead he decided to take literature because it isn't something that requires memorization just rather interpretation. I followed his advice and took literature. I'm a sophomore and have never really had a good english teacher so I feel like I wasn't prepared for it. After taking AP Eng Lang next year I feel like I will be better prepared. What will colleges think if they see that I took literature before taking AP English and scored kinda poorly, but retook it after and scored substantially better? Will scoring poorly on ONE SAT subject test screw me for college?

If you retake it and do better, most colleges won't even look at your first score:)
