Retaking AP Tests

I decided to call the CollegeBoard and hand over that $8 to hear my scores.

I received the following scores:
European History: 4
Comparative Government: 4
U.S. Government: 3

I'm quite disappointed in my scores and my parents have told me to retake U.S. Government. Anything less than a 5 is not good to them since 4 is sort of equivalent to a B. Whether I decide to retake the other two is up to me, but I really don't want to retake European History.

I'm doing several self-studies next year including U.S. History and Biology.

Do you think I should retake Comp. Gov? I have to get a 5 if I retake any exam.

Thanks for your input.

Depends… do you get college credit for 4s? Northwestern basically only accepts 5s, and I wouldn’t retake an AP test (maybe English because I always use it) anyways, I’ll forget a lot of the information and do worse on the second round. And $86 out of my wallet.

If you want, but for some places a 4 or 5 is great.
