Retaking English at Berkeley?

<p>Do the English requirements that make up the IGETC fulfill the English requirements as a whole after transferring? I am not an English major, but I heard somewhere that transfer students might have to take R1a and R1b classes once at Cal. </p>

<p>that’s absolutely NOT true.
As long as your CC English courses are the equivalent of R1a and R1b then you’re fine.</p>
