Retaking highschool class!

i live out of state and my freshmen year was a disaster :frowning: and on the UC page, it says “You must earn a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 3.4 or better in the 15 college-preparatory courses (a-g courses), with no grade lower than a C.” so is it possible for me to retake some of my freshmen course online or something and replace my poor grades in freshmen? at the end of junior year i ended up with all As though.

See attached matrix for UC’s and CSU’s. It will tell you if you need to retake classes to validate bad grades.
The UC’s will not use your Freshman grades for their GPA calculation, but you need to meet the a-g requirements.
You need to indicate on the application if you plan to retake. If you do not have a minimum UC GPA of 3.4 now, you will not be eligible to apply since applications are due Nov 30.

3.4 is the theoretical GPA floor but, it won’t get you into any UC unless you have amazing test scores and a compelling story. I’d encourage you to broaden your search.
