Retaking SAT 1s for class of '06 and beyond

Question: Is it wise to take the old SAT 1s twice and the new SAT 1s twice and combine to get the highest old SAT 1 score and the highest new SAT 1 score? Or is it both regarded as SAT 1 and you can get the highest score in any test, old or new. This has been one question that's bothering me for a very long time now. I'm a junior btw.

well...alot of schools are ONLY accepting the new SAT for 2006...or the SAT II Writing test...but they want a writing score regardless...I think it'll be better to just study and wait for the new March SAT...save your money

um, i took the old SAT 1 already and is sorta displeased with my grade and know i could do better (got a 224 on PSAT) so i'm considering taking the old one again and then the new one... i dun know wut 2 do...

I'm taking the old SAT twice to get a 1500, then the new SAT at least once.

pixamelon, did u already take an old SAT?

Yes. Should be getting score tomorrow.
I'll be taking it again January.
And then I'll take the new SAT at least once after March.

I'm kinda doing the opposite of pixamelon, I took the SAT I for the first time on Dec. 4, and plan to take the new SAT at least twice (and hopefully only twice), in March and in October/November.
