Retaking SAT? 2040?

I am a senior in high school (international student), and I took SAT for the first time in October and got 2040: 730 in CR, 680 in Writing and 630 in Math, which I am kind of ashamed of. Should I retake? I am sending my applications to some Ivy League schools, but my more reasonable choices include Emory and GWU. I don't have any "outstanding" ECs which could completely cancel out the test scores, so do you think I should retake them? Is the score okay for those schools?

I am already taking SAT II Math II and Literature in November. I could retake the SAT in December. Should I?

I think you should retake it for the Ivy League’s. Your math is a little on the low side for Emory, I think. You might want at least a 650, if not above a 700. But your CR and Writing are definitely high enough for your ‘reasonable choices’.

Don’t fret; you have time to bring your scores up! :)

Yes, I think you should just study for the math portion because your other scores are very good. Many schools superscore (take your best scores out of each SAT you took) so you can pretty much neglect the other parts. I only studied for math my 2nd time and got a 750!
