Retaking SAT and ACT?

Hello,

I am interested in transferring from my top 40 LAC to a top 20 National University,
I am currently a sophomore and will have 3 semesters of college grades to prove my ability.
My board scores are the weakest aspect of my application 28 ACT and 1340 SAT out of 1600
Should I retake them, do schools allow this in particular University of Chicago, Northwestern, Washington University in St. Louis, and University of Michigan...Thanks in Advance.

It must also be noted that I do believe I will be able to score higher if I take them now however I am very poor at the grammatical section and might not be able to improve in that area which is what was largely responsable for my poor scores.

I know that Northwestern allows for a retake, but WashU doesn’t.

If you believe that you are going to score higher now, then I think you should study some more and definitely retake it.

They are still interested in seeing your ACT scores.
