So basically if you know you got like a 750 would you cancel the score? Or would you retake it so you might get a 800 next time

no thats retarded unless u think 750 was ur highest possible score 2day... colleges will not reject u because u had a 750 instead of 800, even if it is related to ur possible major... now if it was 650 then yes

Oh my. Don't cancel the score. I think that would show a wild lack of prioritization skills.

wut test r we talking about mathnerd (math II ?)

It is chemistry

Do colleges look down upon retaking subject tests or does it not matter that much?

I'm taking bio again in June, i think i got around 730-ish (not exactly what i want but good enough i guess) this time...should i cancel? what do colleges think if they see 2 scores (one from May and one from June)?

I think if you make a significant improvement colleges wouldn't mind.
I was considering retaking math 2c... but i dunno. I got a 770 the 1st time, is that good or bad...

This is the most overachieving board I've ever seen.

A 770 is GREAT. Don't even worry about it. You should be done and not even thinking about retaking it.

A girl I know didn't get anything higher than 750's on any of her subject tests and was accepted to all her top choices (UCB, UCLA, USC, Stanford).

i would retake sat II's until you get an 800 in each one. these are supposed to showcase yo skillzzz. if you get a 770 in math 2c, 20-30 % score higher than you do. it's pretty safe to say that some of those people will be applying to the same schools you do; hence, they have a BIG advantage.

i'm playing. sometimes i think people are ridiculous on this site. there is no way you should retake after getting that high of a score, especially when you can spend those test dates improving other scores or setting good marks. a 30 point increase on the Sat Math II C is not going to make the difference on your application to Harvard.
