RETAKING SAT's For Transferring

I know a lot of people have expressed interest in this problem. Many people, including myself, would love to be enlightened by those of you who already are in the process of transferring if re-taking the SAT or ACT, from say a 2080 or 30 ACT, to hopefully improve your score to be more competitve to transfer to a top school, such as Rice. Also, how important are SAT scores to colleges in reviewing sophomore (from freshamn to sophomore) applicants?

What SAT/ACT will give me a great shot at landing a spot in the Rice class of '10, given a 3.6-4.0 GPA? Are my current stats (2080, 30) good enough to transfer into Rice without a problem?

SATs are really meant for HS students. A good college GPA can make up for a less than wonderful SAT score.

It depends on what one's high school GPA is, what college one attends, and how many courses one has taken.

I thought SATs weren't needed for transfers at most places. UC system doesn't care.

What about Rice? is a 30 ACT good enough?

BUMPAGE??a//////

you bumped in 38 minutes?

SATs get less important as you continue on in college.

I don't really remember putting my test scores anywhere on the application and mine were less than stellar as well. a 30 is pretty good for a lot of the schools.
