So, my SATs were dreadful when I was in HS. Do I get to retake them before I send in my march transfer application to Williams?

first check to make sure they require them, because sometimes colleges dont care about sats, expecially the older you get. but if you're only a sophmore and they do require, you might consider it, can i ask what the sat's were? becuase i dont think its THAT important, after a year or two in a college, but it also depends how bad they actuallly are i think. we need some more info, what are your grades and sat scores and where do you go toschool now?

1900/2400
HS gpa: 3.8 UW

I'm still in my first semester of college, so I really don't know what my grades are going to be.

oh geez those are sooo dreadful..

^Well I don't know.... everyone on these boards score really high and when I see chances with scores like mine, people say it's not enough to get into a prestigious college/uni.

You do have to check each school's policy re retake after starting college. Some allow it, some don't. For some, your scores will be fine, for some they would hold you back.

Best to guage your chances based on published score %iles at the schools you're aiming for; not on what people say on here about your chances.

As I've said so many times before, the chances threads here on cc are worth exactly what you pay for them. IE, not much.
