I was looking at NYU's policy for standardized tests and am confused. I am going to apply to transfer there for the Fall '08 term and would like to take the ACT again to attempt to raise my score. Is this allowed if I have already taken it and I am already in college? Will they accept the new scores? Thanks

They don't want you to take the tests again. Why? Because when transferring, you're considered to be a freshman in their eyes (despite the entire credits/hours ordeal).

This allows you to be on an even par with the rest of the students there that had the same scores in high school and etc.

It's very moronic and absolutely ridiculous of them to do this, but hey...all to their own. I think the school sucks in general. Stern as well. Only reason I'd go there would be for Finance, but it has nothing else to offer. They're trying to be badass in an aspect. ha.

I would be going there for Finance. Oh well, guess my current scores will have to do.
