hey guys, so basically i am planning to take the SAT for the third time. I took it first as a freshman and scored a 2200 (700 CR, 760 M, 740 W) and I took it for a second time as a junior and scored a 2270 (760 CR, 750 M, 760 W), bringing my superscore to a 2280. I am planning to retake the SAT in October. My question is, will it look bad if my score does not increase? the main reason I am taking it is because I feel that the mistakes I made on the junior year administration were correctable (i.e. dumb mistake on math, got a 9 on the essay). however, there is a chance that I may make the same mistakes on this administration again. will colleges hold it against me if they see a score that is similar to/lower than the junior year exam?
thank you

A 2270’s a great score, even for the top colleges. Usually a 750 and an 800 are almost equivalent (i.e. you most likely won’t be rejected because you got a 750). So I doubt it’d be worth spending four hours and $50 taking the test a third time…
