Retaking US History Three times?

should i?

i got 590, and 640.

applying to UC's.

range for third score will likely be 700+ range.

should i do it? advice?

640 is enough. (I got 650 and 690 on IIC). Got into top 5 uc's (except sf of course). Try focusing on other stuff.

right now, i'm leaning toward retaking it in november...:(

if i get a 700+, i think it is warranted.

please, more input.

thanks.

Why do you think there will be a significant change? Unless you are taking a course in U.S. History in the fall, are attending some type of review session, or are studying this summer diligently, I would advise staying with the score you have now. I found the SAT II in U.S. History to be relatively easy after taking the AP exam but it is admittedly a tough exam otherwise. I don't know that I helped much, sorry!

because i took 4 practice tests, 2 from sparknotes and 2 from kaplan and got over 700 each time.

i don't know why i suck so bad on the real one...:(

I believe that SAT II's are meant to be taken one time. Two times is generally one too many, and I'd imagine that three is far overboard. Just stick with your scores.

god i still can't believe how bad i did...
