just gave me the letters and told me to send them in.
(and of course, I got to read what they wrote!)</p>

on the envelop, I never wrote the returning address.
will that be any significant problem?

<p>It won't be a problem unless they get lost in the mail. The envelopes are opened and their contents sorted by low-level employees based on the information in the contents. Therefore, a return address is not necessary for identification purposes.</p>
<p>you're ok as long as they can identify who you are and match it with the rest of your stuff (SAT scores, counselor forms, online application, etc)</p>
