Hi, I am currently 23 and stayed away from school for 3 years because I wasn't doing well, didn't know what I wanted to do, and I couldn't afford it. I'm just curious, how serious will Virginia take my previous college stats from 2008-2009 when I am doing much better now? By much better, I mean I should have about a 3.7 GPA at an OOS CC (Bergen Community in Jersey) after this semester with 1 more semester to go. Obviously I am shooting for straight A's every semester so that is self-explanatory to go for next semester, too.

Bump because I would really like to know how a Virginia student thinks about my situation

Re-bumping for response

UVA WILL LOOK FOR YOU TO HAVE DEMONSTRATED MATURITY AND GROWTH AS A STUDENT. That comes in such forms as good grades at your CC or at any college, etc. You are on the right track. I suspect you will be expected to retake SATs or ACTs.

All of your transcripts have to be submitted to make your record complete, but we will be much more concerned with your current work at BCC (a school I know well, by the way).

There is no need to take the SAT/ACT again if you took it in high school.

There-you have it from the source! Good luck, gvon.
