returning student financial aid

<p>My D is currently a freshman at Tulane, planning on returning in the fall. We have submitted all of the required financial aid forms a couple of weeks ago in anticipation of todays deadline.</p>

<p>Do any of you know when returning students find out their financial aid package? Our household financial situation did change from last year, income went down by quite a bit and there was an inheritance in there. I am having a hard time determining how the financial aid will be affected and therefore knowing how to budget for the tuition bills.</p>

<p>If you are lucky you will hear sometime in July. My son is a sophomore and last year we got his financial aid package in August. You can try calling the financial aid office, but this time of year they are working on the freshman, and they will tell you that they don’t even start the retuning students until sometime after school is out.</p>
