returning to school after a long absence

it's been about 8 years since i withdrew from a small liberal arts college in new england. i left one year before finishing my bachelor's degree. i currently live in los angeles, and i need to finish my BA because i want to get an MLIS and become a librarian.

i have a few questions about going back to school. i'm looking at schools in southern california, and most of them require letters of recommendations from professors (one accepts recommendations from employers, but also requires one from a professor). where am i going to get them? my old professors probably don't remember who i am.

also, are there any schools in the area that are good at handling older students like me?

You’d need to e-mail or call admissions, but typically in your case, the school will accept letters from colleagues or employers.
