I’m a student (freshman) looking to get a REU sometime in the future. I would like to get one in astronomy/atmospheric instrumentation, as I am a Electrical Engineering major. By the time I’ll be applying I’ll most likely have done some research. How competitive are the REU’s? How many should I apply to?
Also will being a female (white) in EE help me in applications?
