<p>Actually, reverse discrimination, at least in the U.S. and Europe, is directed toward caucasians. The "reverse" doesn't have much purpose in this context. Colleges wish to increase their "diversity" so some ignoramus doesn't write poorly of the variety of skin colors seen in the student body in a "respected" book on American universities. It's really stupid and political, so in general there will be some cases of "discrimination" towards both whites and asians. Not as many black or hispanic students apply to the prestigious universities, so they don't face as much competition in the quotas for their ethnicities. Amazing what we're doing when for decades most Americans pride themselves on, more or less, "judging individuals on their character, not color of skin." How disappointing. Regardless, admissions are a crapshoot. Don't worry about it.</p>
