Review Book Help for 2014-2015

For my junior year next year, the four APs I will be taking are AP English Language, AP Chemistry, AP United States History, and AP Statistics. My weakest to strongest subjects will most likely be AP Lang (I'm really awful at literature), AP US History (I'm not fond of history), AP Chem (Chemistry interests me a ton and I love it more than anything, but I heard the exam and class are extremely difficult), then AP Stats (I love math and I heard statistics is not difficult).
My goals for each AP Exam next year:
AP Lang: 3 or 4
AP US History: 4
AP Chem: 4
AP Stats: 5
1) Does anyone recommend any review books based on his/her experience with at least one of these subjects (preferably hearing from people that got 4s and 5s)?
2) Between now and late July, when would these said review books be cheapest off of Amazon or something similar?

Bump. Now that all that these tests are over, could someone give me some advice or these review books? Thank you!

I took A PUSH last year and received a 5 by using The Essential Content by Larry Krieger. Also scored 770 on SAT II, if you’re interested in taking that.

I took AP Lang and AP Chem last week. I didn’t use a prep book for English because I’m a strong student in that class. For chemistry I used Barron’s because none of the other prep books were updated for the new exam. I have no idea what I got, but I’m praying for a 4.

Hopefully this helped a bit! I’d ask again in July because people will have scores and be able to judge what worked for them.

Just took Lang and U.S.
Lang doesn’t really need a prep book, but my teacher said Cliff’s is good.
For APUSH I used AMSCO which is basically a condensed textbook (really good and free online legally), and Crash Course which helped tremendously on the multiple choice.

Took stat, highly recommend Barron’s.

I’ve taken all of those but chem. And not aiming for 5s? D:

Haha okay so I took AP Lang this year. I got a prep book but didn’t really use it, it’s kind of hard to prepare for Lang using a prep book. However, if you want to get one, I recommend Barron’s. The best way to prepare is to do SAT prep (the critical reading questions for SAT are suspiciously similar to the Lang mc :P) and LOTS of practice essays from the Collegeboard site.

AP Stats - I got the Princeton Review book, however, there were a lot of typos and it was difficult to understand. I would listen to catchinginfinity and get Barron’s.

APUSH - The best one is the AMSCO prep book, I read the entire thing the day before the exam and I think I did well (although I really wouldn’t recommend doing that, I only did that cause I had a ton of other exams to focus on). Also, getting the Barron’s flashcards helps a lot. I’m not a huge history fan either, but APUSH differs from world history, etc. in that it’s told in more of a story format than a ton of unrelated facts/info, so imo it’s a bit more interesting and easier to remember. Plus it’s only like 200 years of history. AMSCO has pretty much every detail you need, but it’s long. For a more concise review, get Barrons.

AP Chem - Haven’t taken it, but I’ve heard that it is a difficult exam. However, if you really enjoy it, it would definitely be in your best interest to aim for a 5. 5s on AP exams really aren’t that difficult if you put your mind to them. In my experience, Barron’s has generally (not always) been the best prep book choice. However I would ask someone who has actually taken the class first before getting one.

Hope this helped :)
