Review my schools please!

After much debate and anguish I think i have finally completed my list. Its at 11 schools and i may change or eliminate but this is my list thus far. Information you should know about my list is I want to major in International Relations but i cant get ino the top tier schools like Georgetown, John Hopkins, etc. Im hispanic from a low socioeconomic background in CA from a private school. So my schools are for IR but not top tier. My safeties are Cal States: San Francisco, San Jose, and San Diego. If those are the only schools i can get into are the cal states im changing my major cause an IR degree from a cal state is worthless. My match schools are hopefully Depaul, University of Washington, University of Toronto, Univeristy of San Francisco. My reaches are American, Seattle University, UC Davis, and UC Irvine*. The schools denoted with * dont specifically have International relations but have international studies. Does anyone know like the difference. I know good schools for IR that arent that difficult to get into are George Mason but ive eliminated it. Im considering University of the Pacific but i dont know. Any criticism or add-ons or advice.. anything welcome.

What are your SAT scores/GPA like?

If they are around the 2000/3.75+ range, then you'd be fine with schools like American and UW. I'd also recommend adding George Washington University onto your list. It's a second-tier school (not as competitive as JHU or Georgetown) but the school's OUTSTANDING for its political science and IR programs (GWU even has an entirely separate school for IR... I think it's called the Elliot School of International Relations, very well-renowned).

If you are an IR/political maniac like me, you might also want to try out Georgetown, just for the heck of it. No matter how good the other schools are, Georgetown is and will always be the undisputable Harvard in political science and international relations. You'll never know until try it out!

By the way, your choice of University of Toronto is a wise one: UT is actually ranked #19 I think world wide. So it basically has a very good international reputation. It's also Canada's Harvard:) (just a note: UT and other competitive Canadian schools take GPAs and SATs VERY seriously- average should be 87-90% if you want a place in the Faculty of Arts. In fact, GPAs and SATs are the ONLY things that'd get you in in the admissions process. So be sure to have and keep up those good grades). You might also want to consider some other top CDN schools like Queen's University, Mcgill University, and the University of British Columbia. The first two have gorgeous campuses in "bilingual" (English-French) environments with rich mixtures of culture.
