<p>Has anyone taken the new exams in the SSAT Study Guide from the test writers? If so, could you post your thoughts?</p>
<p>I’m using an SAT book for the SSAT. I’m not trying to be discouraging, but generally <em>for me</em> the books don’t help. The SSAT is basic stuff, and any book that has the general thing like analogue work. However, I love the Princeton review one. I just like how kid friendly it is.</p>
<p>Princeton is the basic one. Its always good to start with princeton. I think Kaplan and Barron’s 9th edition ( purple book ) is most helpful for SSAT. The workbook from SSAT (one you are talking about…) is good to take as a diagnostic test to see where you are at, but it is not sufficient to be a comprehensive workbook on SSAT.</p>
<p>I bought the Preparing and Applying… anyways, I felt that it was really good as a supplementary practice tests to my Princeton Review. It did have some wrong answers in it for the first Upper Level test, but I felt like it was a good book overall.</p>
<p>Make sure you get the correction sheet for the new OFficial SSAT Guide. After I ordered it online I got an e-mail with some corrections to about 6 or 7 questions.</p>
