So I have been waiting for two weeks now, and my Minerva status still says "Reviewed-Decision Pending." Some of my friends applied to the faculty of science and they all got accepted within a week. What do you think is slowing it down, and do you ultimately think I'll get in? There is a lot at stake as this is the only top-tier school where I can continue training for my sport. One concern I have is that the website says submitting the transcript both online and by snail mail may slow down the process, and they just received a second copy by snail mail on the 20th.

US History 4, Bio 4, Lang 4, Currently taking BC Calc, Lit, and Psych

I would also like to note that I attended a prestigious private school (Obama girls go there) until sophomore year, which explains the sudden change in GPA upon switching to a public school. All things considered, how long do you think it will take to get a decision and ultimately, what are my chances? I am applying to the faculties of Arts and Management. If anyone could give me some clarification I would really appreciate it. Thanks!

@sspdsk8a 3.93W GPA, IB Diploma predicted 38 points, 30 ACT. I applied to both commerce and science but if admitted i will most likely go to commerce.

Wow everything looks top notch except your ACT, which is sort of on the edge. It’s good enough but that may be the holdup because you applied to two of the hardest faculties. I still think you’ll get in though.
That being said how do my chances look? @RCLVRR

I actually did not send in my act ( I sent in my predicted scores instead) so maybe that helps a little. I think you have a very solid chance. Id be surprised if you did not get in considering ur test scores! Hopefully both of our status’ change soon!!! @sspdsk8a

@sspdsk8a i believe its random, unfortunately…whenever they’re done reviewing your app they will update the status. and definitely man, hope to see u there!

I’ve now had that status since February 14th, so you guys aren’t alone! Hopefully we all hear back soon.
Stats: 3.8 UWGPA, 4.10 weighted
2100 SAT (590 CR, 800 M, 710 W)…the reading score concerns me.
790 Chem, 750 Math I, 730 Physics SAT 2s.
APs: Chem (5), Music Theory (4), Biology, Macroeconomics, Microeconomics, Physics B
Applied to Faculty of Science and Faculty of Engineering
Good luck to all!

@kyle76 That reading score is a tad worrisome but everything else looks good enough for you to have a solid chance. Fortunately, you won’t have to be analyzing passages in science or engineering. I think we can all agree critical reading sucks dick… Good luck man.

@sspdsk8a, thanks man. Critical reading blows along with waiting for this decision to come back. It’s my top choice, and I’m losing patience. Oh well, we’ll see what happens. Best of luck.

@RCLVRR yeah I’m in the same boat. Been waiting since February 10. A lot of my friends heard back within two days. It’s so frustrating. @kyle76 I hope we both get in man. Sounds like you really want it. I’m in the same boat. Personally, I’d be REALLY upset if I don’t get in as I’m a speedskater hoping to go to the 2018 Olympics and McGill is the only top school where I could also get good training. It’s pretty much all-or-nothing with me. So nervewracking.

@sspdsk8a, that’s sick! I’m sure McGill and Montreal must be a great school to train at. And yeah, I want it so badly. I think they have to give us decisions back by March 26th right?

@kyle76 apparently a good number of people are hearing after that date… Do you think I have a good shot? I posted my stats in like… Seven other threads. Lol…

@sspdsk8a, is that true? That’s a pain. But I definitely think that you have a good chance. In fact, I’m kind of surprised you haven’t been accepted yet. It seems as though a lot of the time if you fit the requirements, you’re usually admitted. Your stats look good. The only worries would be the sophomore year GPA and the CR score (same case for me). Otherwise I think you should get in.

@kyle76 yeah apparently so… And I was thinking that too. Most people who hear back quickly are consistently above average and my app is ■■■■■■■ bipolar. Like yours. Heh. Also my sophomore year grades were at this private school that didn’t really emphasize grades. I guess if I need to send a reconsideration letter I could say that and use my trendline as leverage. What do you think?
Also maybe it’s taking a long time because of all of my documentation? No idea.
