^ they’ve had mine since Feb 11th :(

still reviewed, decision pending…

They’ve had mine since February 17th. No changes today.

Other than GPA (3.97W) and a very low SATII score, I thought my stats weren’t bad. Guess not.

D status changed this afternoon to Waitlist. Any idea if it is possible to get in from the Waitlist?

I already clicked accept waitlist offer… can I choose not to go though if they do infact accept me

You can the decline the offer.

Had you applied to Science? Those are impressive test scores!

Yeah I just read some threads from last year. That’s so disappointing… McGill was my number one. BC accepted me today so it is somewhat bittersweet I guess.

^ enjoy vancouver, the surrounding area is beautiful and the city is clean and a great place to live and explore

I applied to Arts but I should’ve applied to Science. And I meant Boston College not UBC
But I’m over it now. I think I’m going to BC.

^ aw pbbuff! =( you’re stats are ridiculously impressive, so I think that is really strange

good luck wherever you end up =/

^ even better… may be headed to boston myself, i’m very excited about the city

^^ You will need to learn Boston English! This book is long out of print but you may find a copy on eBay:

[Amazon.com: Boston English (0785555012578): Dana Lynn Wilson: Books](http://www.amazon.com/Boston-English-Dana-Lynn-Wilson/dp/0822016338/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1269631132&sr=1-1)

Is it bad that I still have this message? I was told by the admissions office that decisions were supposed to be out by the end of today.

My d is still “decision pending” too. Guess we have to wait until next week, at least!

If no decision on Monday, I’d recommend calling.

pbbuff did you apply to the Faculty of Arts or the Faculty of Arts and Science ?
If Arts, you should appeal. Have you GC call admissions to find out why you were not accepted.
Your stats are very high, so this doesn’t make any sense. What were your grades in English like? McGill is fussy about the English grade for Arts. Maybe there is something wrong with your file. Your GC should make sure that they have the correct info. Good Luck

Thanks tkdkid, I was shocked I wasn’t accepted to be honest, but I guess that kind of attitude never really helps anyways. Boston is an amazing school though And I definitely won’t give up on my French!

Tom: Haha nice, I’ll check it out. I have a question about Boston though, how much would a monthly pass for the T cost?

NiceOldMom: I only applied to the Fac of Arts (as an undecided). I think the downfall of my application was infact my English grades. Last year they were around 86 for both semesters, and first semester this year I had an 83 average. But I have had a 95+ average for French the past three years, so I don’t know. I don’t think they should place that much weight on English grades.

I probably won’t appeal, although I love Montr

mine still says decision pending too. its making me nervous :/

pbbuff, You had B’s in english. Were they in honors course or an Ap courses? Have your GC call. Have your english teacher write a recommendation and have your GC fax it. You will get in off the waiting list.
Still BC is a great school, so pay the deposit, but don’t give up on McGill.

NiceOldMom, I’ve taken the hardest courses possible (with the exception of science this year, I’m taking Honors Anatomy and not any AP Bio/Physics/Chem) so yeah they were both AP. Do you think they would consider my appeal though?

Pbbuff since you are wait listed you still have a very good chance of acceptance. If your GC could find out why you are wait listed you could send additional information to reinforce your excellent stats. The appeal would be too confrontational. I think you should send recommendations from your english teachers, if they are available.
