[] State or Country: Ohio
[] School Type: Cleveland Suburb, competitive
[] Ethnicity: Caucasian
[li] Gender: Male[/li][/ul]Other Factors:
General Comments: I think that Cornell really put an emphasis on the essays this year. I feel my stats made me very competitive, but it was my essay that sealed the deal. I applied to CALS as well and wrote about a related yet different topic from my Engineering essay. I feel as though the admissions office keeps saying “This kid’s scores could be better, but his essays tells us who he really is” and not “This kid has to get in; his scores are amazing”. Regardless, for those who were accepted, Congrats, I will see you next fall in Ithaca.
