Revisit day- what is it and who is it for?

What is this exactly- I just spoke with OA and offered that we would be in the are during the last week of March and would like to visit the campus and meet with them, regardless of their pending decision (WL due to FA).

I get that it is for something else, than what we will be using it for?

Is there a format that I should be respectful or cognizant of (“their” schedule versus what works for us?")? I asked to meet mid to late morning due to the drive to the school from where we were staying, after the first suggested meeting time of 8:00. Should I take that 8:00?? Do-able, just not preferable!

Thanks!

Revisit day is for students and families who have been admitted to the school for the following school year. If your child has not been admitted or has been waitlisted, it is not a good time for you to be on campus. If the AO did offer a slot to talk to you, take that slot. The school will be courting those they admitted and will not have a lot of resources to deal with other issues during that time. If your child has not been admitted, you are basically crashing a party.

Thank you. Hate to think we are crashing the party but the AO does know our circumstances and that it is no easy task for us to get out there in the first place. I appreciate your info!

If the AO agreed to meet with you, especially early in the day, you are not crashing the party. I put that out there for other readers.
