I actually believe that revisit days are a key part of any application process, whether it is boarding school or college.Going to boarding school is a risk, and it is good to know what you are getting yourself into. It is easy to romanticize a school when you are bombarded by marketing emails and pamphlets, as well as a beautifully designed website. Yet, being on campus can drastically alter any previous perceptions of that school. As a rule of thumb, if you cannot see yourself walking around campus, if you do not have positive interactions with your future peers, or if you do not like the general vibe of the school, then you probably shouldn’t not go to that school. However, in order for you to have these experiences and to formulate a well-informed opinion on a school, you must attend a revisit day. Furthermore, revisit days can be incredibly helpful when determining the deciding factor that distinguishes one school from another. Overall, if you have the financial means to attend revisit days, then I highly recommend that you do so.
