Revisit?

Just wondering, should I still attend the revisit day if I’ve already decided on the school I want to go to? I only applied to one school and got in, but would revisits still be valuable to attend to get a feel for the community of the school? I can’t decide if it’s worth the travel time. Thanks!

I would say you should definitely revisit if you are able to make it. I’m not sure how close in proximity you live to the school but it is very valuable to go and visit the school just to get a better feel for it. If your family isn’t able to travel though, you’re just fine without it too

My DH and I approached the revisit days like pre-orientations. We asked lots of questions and took lots of notes and enjoyed meeting members of the faculty and administration as well as other potential parents.

Ok, I’m still deciding. It’s a 6 hour drive, so it’s probably unlikely I’ll convince my parents, but I really want to go to get a better feel for the school.

Absolutely plan to go if possible. My DS was in a similar position, accepted to four schools but knew by the end of M10 which one he was going to attend as it was his first choice all along. By M14 he had already said yes to Andover and contacted the other schools to let then know about his decision. He used the revisit day to meet future classmates/teammates, get a better sense of the campus, and buy some school apparel.

Go! Six hours pale in comparison with 4 years.

Go. You’ll learn more about where you’ll be in the fall and can ask very specific questions. You’ll feel much more at ease in August for investing the day in the spring.

I saw your name on the results list. Go Toads! I STRONGLY recommend you attend. It’s an overnight with lots of good info for you and your parents, plus you’ll get to meet your new classmates. You’ll learn a lot of good things about both the camping and horse programs, which are quite unique. Congrats! You are going to love it
