Revisiting a college you hated at first?

Hey swissmiss3, I’m glad you’ve come to terms with Arkansas. Any chance to do the marching band thing there to start?

What a long, strange trip it’s been - Cornell, to Washington & Lee, to Bucknell, to Indiana, and now Arkansas. If I’m not mistaken, each one is closer than the preceeding school. You could have saved time and just gone to the nearest place that offers college classes;)!

Truly, though, I’m pleased that you’ll be somewhere you’re happy to be at, and at a nice price, too! If you end up getting enough FA to transfer to Bucknell next year, that’s great, but it sounds like Arkansas may have most everything you were looking for. Congratulations, and best of luck!

^Thanks, Knowitsome, for your insight. Yes, you’re right, it sure has been a long, strange trip to find a college. As for band, that is a dream that will have to wait. The director said he’d have one of his tuba players instruct me through the year so that I might make it sophomore year, and with my full course schedule it is probably a very good thing that I don’t have band in the picture to take up study time!

When does your son head to Bradley? What’s he gonna study there? Wish him good luck and Go, Braves!

Orientation is July 12-14 (mom is doing the concurrent parent version), and his move-in day is August 22nd. He’ll be studying civil engineering and is feeling positive about his school choice (of course:)). Thanks for the good wishes (right back at ya!). Any idea of your plans for a major at UA, Razorgrll?
