Revoke accecptance letter?

I am attending Deapul university next fall but I am afraid my acceptance letter will be revoked because i am probably going to get a D in AP MACRO. I've studied so hard but I just can't get good grades and i think i am going to end up getting a D in the class. Do you think Depaul would revoke my acceptance letter???

It doesn’t really matter what the people out in CC land think; what matters is what the Depaul adcoms think. And they are easily reachable by phone or email.

You should contact them and see what they say. A phone call or email isn’t going to hurt your chances of admission; after all, at this point you already have an admission letter. And they’re not going to revoke you if you call; even if the D will get you revoked they’re not going to do it until the grade is final, which won’t be till the semester is over.

On the other hand, adcoms like students who shoulder responsibility for their problems. So don’t blame your lousy teacher, the time you spend running the clubs at your school, whatever. The script is short and sweet. I’ve messed up, here’s what I’ve learned from it and why it won’t happen again.

Maybe it will turn out it won’t matter, and that’s a big worry off your back. On the other hand if its an issue, at this point there may still be time to work it out. Take a summer school class at your HS or a nearby CC, etc. But for sure if you wait until August for them to look over your final transcript and discover the grade, you’ll already have 2 strikes against you. First off, you knew about it but did nothing. Second, at that late date there aren’t going to be a lot of make-up options left.

And even the “worst” you might hear isn’t really the worst; if you find out now that Depaul will rescind your admission you have a lot more options to find another college than you’ll have in August or September.
