I doubt it! And if there was any concern, you have a documented illness to explain the drop. You’re talking about a minor decline, not a precipitous collapse.
No one unaffiliated with Lafayette can say for sure, but typically getting rescinded for grades involves Ds and Fs, or at least more than a full letter decline across the board. If 2A-s to B+s is enough to get rescinded, they’d probably have to replace half the class.
My dad was a professor at Lafayette for 6 years and last year I asked him about rescinded offers of admissions. I think it’s something many seniors worry about. Your worry is unwarranted. He says you need to “slap someone in the face” for a rescinded offer of admission.
Thank you guys! And iwannabe_Brown raised a good point. If a drop from an A- to a B+, or an A+ to an A is enough to get your acceptance revoked, then they would have to revoke the acceptances of more than half the class. Considering I have seen many cases of senioritis, including straight A students becoming A/B students, and I have not seen anyone get their acceptance revoked, I bet I have nothing to worry about. Thank you for the reassurance!
True! At least the minor declined happened after first quarter of my senior year. I was worried about not getting into Lafayette because if I did not get in, that would mean I would have to send in these first semester grades posted above. However, at least my grades minorly declined after they counted from an admissions standpoint
