revoked because of AP????

can you get revoked because your AP scores arent in the ucsd database? i feel like i just did

Did you send them? It was clear in the Provisional Contract that you had to send them in. If you didn't, it's probably not as serious an offense as low senior grades and they might let you send them in. If you did, it's taking a lot of schools a long time for those to get into their systems.

refresh my mind please..... by sending AP scores, you mean going to collegeboard and spending more money to send the AP scores in??

nah i dont think getting revoked because of missing AP scores is possible. I mean, collegeboard just sent in my corrected AP scores a few days ago. You don't have to pay money either. Just call customer service and say that UCSD did not receive them and they'll resend it for free. but it'll take a while though.

No, when you took the AP tests this year, you were supposed to put down a college code on the answer sheet to let College Board know where to send all of your AP scores.

They shouldn't rescind you... Collegeboard "accidentally" didn't send in 2 years worth of AP scores of a suitemate of mine, and nothing happened to him... Well, other than being forced to pay money to get scores sent...

ok.. what if admissions never received it? or collegeboard never sent it out?? is that fair grounds for me to get revoked? because on the PROVISIONAL CONDITIONS OF ADMISSIONS it says that by july 15, the admissions office must have received AP reports...

If you paid the money to send it, or put UCSD's college code on your AP tests this year to have Collegeboard send it, and something happened, it's not you, its them thats at fault. Some people's AP scores haven't shown up for weeks as you can see in the posts. As long as you did what you were told to do, you can't be reprimanded with something as serious as a revoked admission. Even if they did do that, you have all the reason to believe that an appeal would work, since you fulfilled what you were supposed to do.

I was under the impression that you don't even have to take AP's if you don't want to...it's just "recommended." So how can they revoke you because of something that was only "recommended." It's best to call them.

some people didn't send them until past october. little did they realize that affected their enrollment times...oops!

He's not being revoked because he didn't take them, he has the chance of being revoked if he doesn't send in the scores which he self-reported on the application.

I would call them to make sure everything is OK, though. Unless you wrote fake scores or something on your app and don't want them to find out, it likely won't affect your admission. If you don't send them in, don't they just put a hold on your records until you do?

Nothing happens AT ALL if you don't send your AP scores in. AP tests are not used for admission purposes, but only for college credit purposes. I never even sent my scores in until I was well into the first quarter.

The only place you'll suffer by not turning in your AP scores is at enrollment time.

i was not revoked even though i didn't send in all of my scores that i self-reported. i put down that i had passing scores in chemistry and calc bc but i didn't submit those in order to take chem/calc at the real college level. nothing happened. i also said on my app i was planning on taking some 3-5 ap tests...senioritis hit and i ended up only taking one. nothing happened there as well. =)

But AP scores aren't really used in admissions at UCSD, right?? So why would they rescind if you didn't send them in?

even though ap scores aren't used in admissions, if you reported them in your application then you should have proofs of that. i think if you didn't send them in ucsd might think that you lied on your application and that's enough grounds to rescind. but then again, a lot of people have said that the school doesn't go to such drastic measures if you don't, so just call them and call the collegeboard to straighten things out. last year some of my scores weren't sent in so i just called the collegeboard and yelled at them.

I guess you're right about the lying thing...

But did you really YELL at CollegeBoard? If you did, then you are really my hero.

Lol that happened to me too last last year. I didn't get my scores back AT ALL. Turns out the mail address was wrong. A bunch of angry emails settled that ;)
