Hi Everyone, I'm a high school senior that has been accepted to UF and I'm worried that my acceptance might be revoked. I currently am taking 6 Advanced Placement (AP) classes: AP Psych, AP English Lit, AP Human Geography, AP Environmental Sci, AP Stats, and AP Art History. Over the past semester I've got B's in 4 an A in 1 and a C in 1. Now, because of a crappy test score, the C dropped and I might end the semester with a D in that class but all other grades would remain steady. The C/D is in stats and math has always been my toughest subject by far. I typically got mostly A's sprinkled in with a few B's during high school and always took the toughest schedule possible so that gives you some background. Anyway, what are my chances of getting revoked in the worst case scenario and what is UF's policy regarding grades 2nd semester? Do they revoke often? Are there any specific criteria? Thanks for answering any or all of these questions! Connor

In answer to your questions, UF does a review after receipt of your final transcript which should be sent to them as soon as possible after graduation. They review the transcript
to match the courses on your application with those you took your senior year. If there is a discrepency that can be an issue. Secondly, they will match preformance during your senior year against prior grades on your transcript. They look at both the semester grade where shown on the transcript and the final grade. They are more concerned with the final grade. If it is a single C they won’t recind. If it is a single D it is unclear. It is up to the judgement of the reviewer(s). Students who have failed a course have been revoked. I would do everything in my power to raise the grade and discuss it with the teacher. If it is a C one semester and a D the second it can be within the judgment of the teacher to give a C based on an " grade overide" authority that is built in to public school grading criteria.
Good luck.

I’d be very careful with the manner that you ask your teacher to override your grade

You should definitely call to ask them for the specifics of revoking, but I don’t think that you’ll get your acceptance revoked based on what you’ve given and what I’ve read from the past on here.

@ConnorLarkin - I don’t know if they’d revoke over a D either but if it’s looking like a strong possibility that you may end up with a D for your second semester I would go speak with your teacher. My experience is that if you’ve been a good student there’s a good chance the teacher may have mercy upon you and work with you to get that grade up. Maybe you’ll do an extra assignment or two or retake a particular test but there’s a good chance they’ll work with you especially if you’re honest with them about the situation you’re in. Good luck!

You’ll prob be fine. I got a C and a D in the last quarter of my senior year in AP Biology and AP English and didn’t get any sort of warning from UF much less revoked admission. However, I got a 5 on both AP exams, and I was National Merit with top 25% SAT so pretty much a lock to get in in the first place for the rankings

I’m a high school senior getting a C this semester due to sheer slacking off…is there any chance of me getting rescinded from the honors program?

Thanks so much for your help! I got all 4’s and 5’s on my AP exams (9 of them) that I have taken between my freshman and junior years plus rocking my SAT so I’m right there with ya Bobbo07! Appreciate all the advice very much and- to Aaron- I’ve looked into the honors program requirements and talked to people so one C will not kick you out.
