Reynolds Hall

Hey guys I have a question. I am a checking my housing options and it says on Reynolds Hall that I have to sign a 'wellness lifestyle agreement', meaning that I won't drink, smoke or use any illegal drugs in and out of Reynolds Hall. So if I get invited to a party and there's alcohol I can't drink because of this agreement?
Can someone living there or someone who knows how this works explain this to me...
Thanks!!

Yes, that’s what you agree to but a lot of people from there do it anyway… I mean it’s illegal for the vast majority of people there to drink anyway, so I guess they don’t really care.

Oh wow then I have to re-think moving to Reynolds lol.
What if you get caught?

Yes, this is a wellness dorm and it attracts students who are interested in other students who have similar interests in living healthy and alcohol/drug free. Students who are not into drinking gravitate to Reynolds, looking for other like minds.

The contract says that if you drink, even outside of the dorm itself (ie off campus, at a bar, even at home) you are breaking your contract. If someone who is rather “strict” about this and is living in Reynolds and turns you in, you can loose your bed in Reynolds and loose your dorm payment to FSU. I don’t think it happens often.

If you intend to partake at parties, then live somewhere else.

If you live there and slip up, not a big deal. If you live there and ignore the contract you signed, not a great idea. Who wants to be drinking and looking over your shoulder the entire time, or worrying about pics that might show up on facebook.

It is for an alternative alcohol-free lifestyle. Why live there and break the rules.

Thanks sunnyflorida!
