Is anyone else doing this? I was wondering if it is possible to APPLY for both the asian and regular scholars one. I know that you can only be awarded for one type, but can we try for more than one?

also so I see the online national scholarship that's due this friday, but I got another one from my school counselor's office that it's for Southern California. It's due later...in march. Anyone know the diff between the two? can we apply for both?

any recommendations on which one? ;) I know that more people probably apply for the scholars one...but the asian one might be more competitive or something

i think my closest is like 50 miles away. i don't really know how close you have to be to be under a certain chapter, but there's three in oregon:

RMHC of Central Oregon (House and Chapter)
1700 NE Purcell Boulevard
Bend, OR 97701
Phone: 541-318-4950 Fax: 541-318-4994

RMHC of Oregon & SW Washington (House and Chapter)
2620 North Commercial
Portland, OR 97227
Phone: 971-230-6700 Fax: 971-230-6720

Ronald McDonald House
3440 SW US Veterans Hospital Road
Portland, OR 97239
Phone: 503-494-5200 Fax: 503-243-2969

idk, it's null and void now cus the deadline's passed. i just didn't give it a second thought when i applied. i'd rather try and get DQ'd than not and realize later i was eligible.

Sorry to bump an old thread, but when it says applicants of "Asian-pacific" heritage, does this include people from India? Or does it mean more like Pacifc Islanders only? Also, when it says community involvement for the essay, do they want you to focus on volunteer efforts, or does this include extra-curriculars too?

for the asian one it is due tomorrow.
i finished my app and everything.
sigh. but i didn't realize that the post office is not open on monday.
i think im just going to send my out anyways.
the worst case would be they toss out my application.

there is also a local scholarship?
is teh mailing address the same as the one that says
P.O. Box 22376, Nashville, TN 37202?

^if your post office has a machine that allows you to print out a sticker for packages, then you could print that and it would be postmarked before the deadline. that's what my post office has and that's what i did because i was afraid it wouldn't get stamped in time.
