Rhode Island School of Design Art Portfolio- Chances? (including scholarships?)

Hi there! I’m applying for Rhode Island School of Design for their regular decision deadline. I’m currently torn between several majors right now, but it will be something in apparel design (specifically costume work), art history, photography, or a similar area, (unless, of course, I discover a fiery passion for underwater basket weaving or something)

Anyways, I have a 4.2 weighted GPA, with mostly As and 7 AP courses under my belt (all scored a 4 or higher). ACT is a 32. I’ve taken a vast array of art classes (about 10), and 2 AP art classes (one in 2D, one in 3D ). Inducted as part of the National Art Honor Society and part of art club. (Other general academic awards as well, but want to keep this post short-ish)

I also have a large technical theatre resume, with nine head costume designer credits, 5 costume design and construction awards, 7 scholastic art awards, a art education association award, and a Michigan youth art festival distinguished scholar award. National Honor Thespian (124 points) and two year Thespian Troupe treasurer. Costumes Headmistress at my school as well.

Right now, I’m struggling with my portfolio-- what to include, how much of it, etc. I can submit up to 20 pieces. Here’s a link to an online portfolio I have: http://karajoyc.carbonmade.com/
These are the pieces I feel comfortable with in my portfolio, but I know for RISD, I can only submit the best of the best. I would love to have feedback from other artists, but if you aren’t (but are familiar with art school acceptance, etc.) please feel free to help.

again, the link for the portfolio: http://karajoyc.carbonmade.com/ (note, if some of the fashion pieces look unfinished, it’s because the photos haven’t been updated yet.)

Feel free to answer any or all of these questions for me:

What pieces should I definitely include/ not include, and what would you like to see more of (more fashion, ceramics, collage, idk…)?

Should I include drawing pieces even if they are bad because drawing is so important to RISD?

With the work I have now, what are my chances of being accepted and/or having merit scholarships?

I appreciate any and all help. Thanks!
-Kara

I thoroughly enjoyed your portfolio.
I found your designs both refreshing and intricately personal.
Excellence shown through a few cracks in between your photography portfolio which I would most likely refine the selection of.
I see good chances for your admission, yet warn of the sparse merit aid available.

Chance me back?
