I am an international student and I have applied Rhodes under RD. So, I just posted this new thread so that we can discuss about anything; for those who are applying to Rhodes this year.

If I don’t get into Brown, it is seeming more and more like I’ll be attending Rhodes. Went to a reception and LOVED the people, both alumni and current students. Visiting campus in April and I can’t wait.

On a side note, judging by your username, you’re a Harry Potter fan? Some current students were telling me that basically everyone who goes to Rhodes adores Harry Potter, and that everyone on campus dressed up when the newest movie came out. I’m a HP fanatic, so it was great news for me!

^^I am Harry Potter zealot as well…haha…U caught me…hahahaha

the campus looks like hogwarts.if i dont get into USC im pretty sure ill be attending

^^you talk about attending; I talk about being accepted ;)

I have been accepted by Rhodes.

Also accepted by Rhodes! Let’s hope the aid is good…

I haven’t received the decision yet…though other internationals have!!!

How is the aid for internationals at Rhodes? Do they have need based aid too? Or is it just merit based? Do they meet demonstrated need of international students too?

Some said Rhodes was generous with international aid…I hope it is true…
Internationals file the ISFAA, maybe they meet demonstrated need of international students.

I just found out that the admission officer have only gone through half of the international applicants’ papers!!!
So, those who haven’t received the letter, don’t ya worry!
and she even said that, those who receive their decision late are not subjected to rejection :D

It is a good news!!

Because international students are not US citizens, you are not eligible for federal need-based aid. However, you are still eligible for all merit-based aid.
