Rhodes Early Action 2018

Did anyone else apply EA to Rhodes? Decisions come out January 15!

D also EA from SoCal. Good luck to you lala

I applied! (from East TN)

D applied EA. We’re from Chicago suburbs.

Only a few days left!!

Did y’all get an e-mail from Rhodes a week ago saying letters were going out the 15th and to stay calm, etc, etc? Hoping that’s a positive sign… I wish we could check online!

Got my letter… I’m in with a Presidential scholarship :)

congrats warriordaughter! could you share stats?

Thanks! Not sure if I will be attending or not (there are a few similar LACs I’m very interested in) but the decision will definitely be tough. My stats are in this thread: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/rhodes-college-memphis/1548270-merit-possibilities.html

When I toured campus my tour guide said she received a phone call from her admissions counselor before receiving a letter in the mail. Has anyone gotten a phone call?

I got a phone call from my admissions counselor letting me know in advance that I was accepted :)

Was it the same day decisions were mailed or was it even before then?

I’m not sure when decisions were mailed… it was about a week ago.

Did you apply early decision? Early action letters weren’t even mailed out until today, and you said you got a letter already…?

I thought they were supposed to arrive today. They haven’t even been mailed?

I checked their twitter, and they have not even been mailed yet! You’re right!

The admissions twitter said decisions would be mailed 1/15. I do think some previous info ( or maybe the website) said you would know by 1/15.

My letter was specifically concerning the Presidential scholarship and scholarship symposium (Congratulations on being admitted with a Presidential scholarship, here are the dates for the symposium, etc.) Perhaps only the decisions for students admitted with the Presidential were mailed?

Edited to add: I applied Early Action, not Decision. Got a phone call on 1/8, then the letter came 1/14.

Hopefully that’s what it is! That would make sense though! That way it would give you more time to make a decision!

I was also called about the Presidential scholarship and the symposium. Congrats to those who have heard already!
