I was wondering if anyone knew about pre-veterinary studies at Rhodes College? The following statement addresses the concentration on the website, but any direct experience with the program, admission stats for vet school, or general insight would be very helpful.

Pre-Veterinary

In addition to relevant courses, veterinary programs require hands-on experience as an employee, volunteer, or intern (such as with Rhodes internship program.

I've been told that success in getting into vet school, which is ultra-competitive, is heightened if a student attends undergraduate school at an institution that has a graduate veterinary program. This pretty much leaves the student with large state school undergraduate options, such as TX A&M, Purdue, University of Georgia, etc. We would prefer a small to mid-sized college for our daughter (although she could probably handle either - just our intuition here). Any thoughts would be very much appreciated. Thank you!
