Rhodes, Marshall, Truman, NSF, Fulbright Scholars at Private Universities

While poking around on Northwestern's website, I accidentally came across these lists. They're not complete, obviously (Wake Forest has 9 Rhodes in this time frame, on par with Dartmouth and Cornell), but still interesting.

You forgot Boren.
Whats the time frame?

and remember the Mtichells. too. You don’t to want to offend Ireland.

I didn’t forget them; they weren’t listed. If you can dig up the numbers for me, I would be happy to incorporate them in my lists.

Sam Lee – Thanks for the updated numbers. Fortunately, the order of the universities did not change.

Ohh this is interesting. Thanks IBclass06

Celticphiles (Guinessphiles?) want to know-what about Mitchells?

I generally don’t approve of thread bumping, even threads I made. Ah, well.

toast eater- As I said earlier, I used all the data points I had available. If you have the data available for the Mitchell (which I could not find), I would happily recalculate my ranking.

I’m not sure it would be as useful as the other measures, however. The Mitchell has been around for less than a decade, and only about 120 people have been awarded the fellowship. The current numbers for each university are undoubtedly quite small and disproportionate.

IBclass06, not only is the size of the school relevant, but that example that you use to prove otherwise fails to show that it is irrelevant.

IBclass hasn’t posted in over a year. This is an old thread.
