I also got into WUSTL as an Olin Scholar (20K per year scholarship), so it’s a tough call between there and Rice. guess I’ve got some thinking to do…

General Comments: I haven’t really checked out Rice extensively yet, but I really like what I have know of it. I think that I will visit soon! Of all the schools that I applied to, this one is the closest to home. Congratulations to everyone who got admitted! I sound like I got rejected when I didn’t, but it just really hurts right now because I see myself fitting in at Rice, and I probably won’t be able to make it next year, unless they take a good amount of people off the waitlist. After getting WL’ed at UChic I was sad about my prospects at Rice but I guess Rice saw something different in me than UChic did! Now probably only if I get into one of the ivies I applied to will I not go to Rice (or if I can’t convince my dad that Rice > UCLA/Berkeley). I hope I can attend Owl Days! So so so soooo excited! Now I also have to explain to every Californian what is Rice and why the hell I would want to go to Texas! :)

[/ul]General Comments: Ever since I applied, Rice has been my #1 realistic choice school. Probably not going to get off the waitlist, but I’ve accepted a spot and sent in a letter. I was set on going-- I thought that I was a shoo-in and would be able to secure a merit scholarship. Much too overconfident. Accepted to UChi though, but I really don’t like it too much.
