Rice 2015, Yale 2019?

I have already committed to Rice University and am pretty excited. Now, however, I'm getting nervous about graduate school. It has been a dream of mind to attend The Yale School of Medicine and receive a combined MD/MBA degree. My issue is, I don't know what to major in and what research, extracurriculars, etc. I need to do to strengthen my medical school application.

I'm planning on majoring in Cognitive Science (possibly making it a double major with economics) and minoring in Business and already have a little bit of research experience. Are those good major/minor choices?

(Note, I already have all of my pre-recs for medical school complete aside from Organic Chemistry which I'm taking in the summer, so I'll be graduating from Rice in two years rather than four)

I’m in a similar boat, I’m hoping to go to Yale for grad school too. ^_^

I would assume Cognitive Sciences would be a good major for a pre-med, but I’m a social sciences guy so I’m probably not the best source of advice.

There is a good chance you will get to college and change your mind completely. While your undergraduate education is important, it is a time to figure out what you want from life, enjoy yourself and try new things.

Get to college first. See what you think. Talk to people who are seniors and professors. Then decide. The more you worry about a maybe 4 years from now, the less awesome your college experience will be

BioE undergrad -> Yale med has happened if that helps
