Ok, so I made mediocre grades freshman and sophmore year, because I was so focused on sports. I hated being a mediocre player, and spend all my time practicing to get better, by myself, rather than studying. I took all the highest honors classes offered at my 1200 person private school, but got all B's freshman and sophmore year except an A one semester in AP world history, and an A in freshman biology one semster. However, I quit sports junior year, and have made all A's, while in all the highest classes but english. Next year I will be All AP's(Total of 8), and will be taking 2 AP science classes(Chem and C:Mechanics). My SAT is a 215 right now, should go up to a 220(730 CR+710 Math(Math will definitely go up to at least 740, easily)). Also, I have national Merit. I am not a minority. 4+ Character awards for freshman sophmor year alone, and I was the AMC 12 winner of the school this year.

Also, EC’s are good. Founded both a Community Service club, and Scientific club. Both are successfull. Also on Robotics Team. Several other EC’s related to church, community service and science. I have an internship as aid to professor at local university this summer.

Bumpity Bump

sorry to be negative, but these schools you are looking at, most people have a close to 4.0 GPA and in all honesty, they probably are looking for a way higher GPA cuz that matter more than most things. SAT is good, and ec’s are okay, pretty standard imo. i would say all those schools are low-high reaches

buuuuuuuummmmp

I would say maybe for Rice if you got your scores up.^^

I doubt that you would get into Rice with nearly all B’s your first two years of HS.
