Rice Applicants from the East Coast

Here’s a link to the average highs/lows by month in Houston. <a href=“National and Local Weather Radar, Daily Forecast, Hurricane and information from The Weather Channel and weather.com”>National and Local Weather Radar, Daily Forecast, Hurricane and information from The Weather Channel and weather.com; Cold in February? Not usually! And while there might be a stretch of 4 or 5 days of temps in the 30’s - 40’s in January, it’s usually followed by much milder weather.

im liking those numbers ! haha even though weather isnt much of a factor for deciding on a college

Ottoline:
Thank you for clearing that up (about proposed merger). Frankly it never sounded like a good idea to me, as it would draw financial resources from the undergraduate program. All the better.

@ NYJ3TSFAN, we have talked before – Rice is my #2 but there’s extremely slim chances that I get in…still applying though. We will spread the Jets love to these Cowboys and Texans fans!

Shouldn’t the amount of students from Texas be decreasing? or at least constant?
I thought they would want more out of state students, but its increased ~600 from the 90’s. :O

i think they try to keep it at around 50%. so if they enroll more students in general, then students from texas would also increase.

The numbers are decreasing as the number of International students and students from across the country apply more.

The number is now under 50% and is expected to drop further.
