Rice/Baylor Medscholar program question - Please help

Has anyone applied for both Rice/Baylor Medscholar program along with Baylor 2 Medical track program? I just got invited for the Baylor 2 Medical track and accpeted the invitation. How many get invited for the Baylor 2 Medical interview? Will I still be considered for the Rice/Baylor if I decide to attend the Baylor 2 Medical interview?

I decided to attend Rice camplus interview on Jan 20th. Then I have the Baylor 2 Medical interview on Jan 21st followed by Baylor Invitation to Excellence. Since I am from Florida, I need to plan my interviews carefully. Is anyone in the same position? Thanks

Congratulations, I do not know the answer to your question. But both Rice/Baylor and Baylor 2 are highly selective programs. Best wishes to your interviews.

You should call them and ask. Sorry, I do not know the answer either. They are very helpful if you call/email

I believe you can only apply to one of the programs, either rice/baylor or baylor/baylor.

I will brief you all when I find out. Other BS/MD programs are more flexible like RPI/Albany and Union/Albany etc. The problem is Rice wants me to come to campus for on-campus interview then wait for the acceptance and then compete for the MedScholar program. It is a long and slow process. With Baylor, I have received scholarship already and now I need to attend the interview. I am sure at one stage, they will ask me to withdraw the application from one school. They are not going to flat out reject me in both places since I double dipped. I am crossing my fingers.

You cannot apply to more than one

Looks like you need to withdraw from one lest you lose both.

Also, please keep related threads together. You do not need yet another thread to ask a related question.

You can apply to both programs. I am a student in TX doing the same. If you call Baylor College of Medicine, they will tell you that the websites need to be updated, and that it is possible to apply to more than one combined medical program.

Students at DeBakey High School for Health Professions are allowed to apply to the Houston Premedical Academy program with the University of Houston and BCM.
