rice/baylor question

i was looking at the information on their website and apparently to be considered for the med program, I have to first decide to go to rice. is this true? if i decided to go to rice to have the chance of going through the med program but did not get into the med program, would i still have to go the rice for undergrad?

it states on the website " Applicants admitted under Early Decision must commit to Rice by January 2, regardless of the Baylor decision to be made later in the spring."

that is only if you apply for early decision. You can apply to interim decision which is not binding.

Is Rice/Baylor really hard to get in? If you have a choice to decide to apply the following schools, which one will be choose. I think I have only one more spot to apply

Rice/Baylor, TCNJ/UMDNJ, Rutgers/UMDNJ and Lehigh/Drexel

rutgers (10 chars)

tcnj/umdnj, i'm in the program right now and its pretty good.

out of state student applicant for TCNJ/UMDNJ...do i have to fly in twice if i select for interview...or phone interview, then one personal interview. thanks

re: high flyer's q.
depends on what you are looking for.

Great undergrad experience, amazing med school or nothing: Rice/Baylor
Any med program regardless of where it is: Not Rice/Baylor.

And like foodisgood said, if you apply ID to Rice, you can decide whether or not you want to go after you hear about Rice/Baylor. If you apply ED, you need to go to Rice either way, if you get in.

hey, how hard is it to get into the rutgers program?

I just finished Rice's application yesterday, and I picked Interim decision because my first choice isn't Rice. Non-binding, yet still BA/MD program = good.

I will skip on Rice anyways if I get in at other BS/MD programs.
