On the Rice/Baylor application page, the answers to the three questions are asked to be "typed." Does this mean I will have to handwrite it through print, not cursive, or does it mean that I will have to actually type it up on Word and organize it to print out accordingly on the application?

Thank you. =)

P.S. And yes, I am procrastinating majorly.

I would say that it means to have it done via computer or Word.

It means you type it.

The word with the double meaning is "print," not type. You should use a computer.

Thanks, everybody! I'll type it up, then. :)

similar question:
do I put the physical application page into my printer and try to format my essays to print onto it neatly
OR
type, cut, paste (ew!)
OR
type onto a separate sheet and approximate the "space provided"

One of the first two options would probably be preferable... if you choose option 1, be sure to print it on a blank sheet first to see if it fits the parameters (or have lots of copies of the application on hand)

I'm probably going for the type, cut, paste. And yeah, I'm just starting. Right now.

haha, same boat, Nevermore.

ummm...POSTMARKED by the 28th....right?!?!?!

im pretty sure they have to recieve it by the 28th
im gonna have to overnight it tomorrow

Has anyone called to find out? I tried calling, but it's after 5:00, so no one picked up. The sheet makes it sound a little ambiguous, so I don't know.

It has to be RECEVIED by the 28th.

does anyone know how much it will cost to ship the app overnight by fedex

****, i guess I'll overnight mine, too

I just took mine to the post office to overnight it. I was there for half an hour and it cost me nearly $15, but it's guaranteed to arrive at noon tomorrow so I don't care!!!
It's done...thank god.

ooh question:
so the sheet says that finalists are notified in mid-march. If you're NOT chosen as a finalist, do you get a "sorry, you didn't make the cut" letter or do they just leave you hanging?
And, geez, mid-march sounds really soon.
Anybody else as anxious as I am?

Yes, I would like to know the answer to this, too. It would be very horrendous to be in anticipation for 2 or more weeks, not knowing that you didn't get in or just haven't received the letter yet.

mollypockets, I'm not anywhere near as anxious about this as I was about hearing from Rice back in December, because I'm only 50% sure I want to go to med school (considering my interests, it just seems the most likely option as of right now). If I don't get in, I'm not too devastated.

Good luck, though! :)

They send you a letter saying, "We're sorry to tell you that you were not chosen because the pool was too competitive blah blah blah, we hope you apply to Baylor when you graduate college."

Thanks, sorrygrateful. At least it'd be nice to know for sure if you're rejected. =)

i really would love to get in this program
i only applied to 2 BA/MD programs: Rice/Baylor and HPME
i didn't think I had any chance of getting in either of them because they are super competitive and i was totally prepared to go the regular premed track because i know 100% that i want to be a doctor
but once i got an interview with HPME mid feb, I am obsessed with these two programs
HPME would be awesome, but BCM costs so much less (around 50k total for all four years if instate) and you can't beat the weather
i would say that im really anxious to get this interview
