So I’m applying to Rice and I really want to get in, but I don’t know if my chances are the best. I’m in the top 10.6% (I know so close to top 10% ugh) and my GPA is 3.6. I got a 34 on the ACT and a 2110 on the SAT (700 Reading and 710 Math). I’ve always been taking AP and Pre-AP classes, I’ve played tennis all four years of high school, and I’ve been in Tae Kwon Do since forever and I’m at a high level in it. I also have around 200 (probably a bit less I’m rounding up here) volunteer hours that I’ve done since freshman year. I also had an interview with the assistant admissions counselor early this summer. And I live in Houston. Are my chances looking any good? I’m really worried since my SAT and GPA aren’t that great.
