I was accepted. 2380 SAT, 4.4 GPA, full stats in my post history. Does anyone know how merit aid notification works? I have no “award history” tab on Esther.

If you have no award on Esther check your document status and make sure they received all your stuff.

Accepted as well! I’m ecstatic!!

My daughter was accepted to her #1 school! Obviously she is thrilled. 2150 SAT (720 R, 700 M, 730 CW). SAT II 800 US History, 750 Math I. AP English Language 5, US History 4. Good ECs. Great essay. Congrats to all accepted and feeling the pain of those rejected. She was rejected from Northwestern yesterday, so she was in your shoes just 24 hours ago. Try to stay positive and hopefully good things will happen.

On a completely separate note, can anyone tell us how and when accepted students hear which residential hall they are assigned to?

Looks like several are in the same boat - I.e. did not apply for fin aid, and now have no tab to check for merit awards.

Unless we hear on CC about someone in this category who did receive an award in Esther, will need to call them on Monday. That’s what my D is going to do.

Accepted!
Will be in the School of Architecture.

@Aerobug: It really sucks that they’re getting on your case about it. I specifically told my family not to make a big deal about it - not to cheer if I got in and not to act really sorry if I didn’t. The fact that they complied helped me feel alright for a little while, but now I really do feel awful. And I’m not someone who gets over things easily.

@austinpop - That’s what I’m planning on doing, too. I really don’t think I got any, but there’s always that slim chance, and I just want to know for sure!

@austinpop – Yep I didn’t apply for need-based aid so lump me in that group. I have no idea how competitive it is to receive aid, but (not trying to be arrogant) I do think that just based on my numbers I have an OK shot, so I’d just want to make sure I’m not missing anything.

For those of you who haven’t applied for FA, if you will be receiving a merit scholarship the information will be in the hard copy acceptance you receive in the mail.

@Worth2Cents- after you fill out your roommate information you will get a letter in July (I believe) with your college assignments and letters from your Masters. Then you get a booklet ( at least my daughter did) that explained everything about your college answering most questions. Exciting times for all you that got accepted- but as stated earlier in this post if you did not get in there is just a different route that you are going to take, but just as exciting.

Accepted international student! Surprised but really pleased not sure about going I’m a soccer player and the coach was really unwelcoming when I visited shevwasn’t interested in meeting me or seeing me play. Should I try again now I’m accepted?

Aerobug - I am sorry about decision. I am sure you will land at another great college.
